My daughter, Lauryn had one of Ray’s last bunnies tattooed on the back of her head
this year on the day that Ray died. She has a number of correspondences and add-on
cards that were mailed to her when she was just three years old. She wrote an essay
about Ray’s death which was submitted to her Art Philosophy instructor at Rhode Island School of Design.

I particularly like the Robert Filliou quote because it was Robert who I celebrated by the title
of my University of Calgary Press publication “Eternal Network: A Mail Art Anthology” (1995)
When Ray called me two months before he died, I asked him out of curiosity if he ever thought of himself as a Fluxus artist and he replied, “I’m not Fluxus, Cracker! I’m The New York Correspondance School!”
