2 thoughts on “the people have the right / to remove a government from power”
Only the People who invoke the right have the right.
It is true when it is said that fact is stranger than fiction. Would it be quickly or easily believed that the same government that has ruled the states for decades could be traced back to as far as Egypt? Would citizens be open to the understanding that the divisions between government and the people are being viewed by government as differently as the Roman Citizens did their slaves?
There is no question that one views the needs for freedoms and safety of our their own as above all others. But it is not for that fact alone that expresses a deep and often clinical view of the other. People learn as much if not more from limitation than talent or breeding or power. This is how civilizations have stood the test of time.
The Romans, South Africans and Confederates used the threat of death to keep slaves in line for generations. Most of Europe adopted the idea, though used the Church to “Blind us” to the fact that we were scared and stupid. Both factual, but the idea of taking slaves is in fact sociopathic, as many will end up in a situation of generational inbreeding.
Most people spend their lives according to what they are taught to do, they do the ins and the outs, but have been locked out of debates about their own freedoms and safety by the time needed to look after the family on a two-person income, unless of course you decide to support the government. Most of the deals made now are closed-door, so people don’t have a clue what’s going on, unless they scour for info.
Judges and politicians have granted only to themselves the protection of the police while altering and pairing down the sanctity of the people, claiming that they, unlike the rest of the snakes in Rome, can be trusted.
Nay. Look ahead. Eventually, we will all say: When a single persons is tricked or torn from their right to life and liberty, then it is all governments that go to the gallows.
